About us

In 2019 the University of Hull completed a £17m investment into the sport facilities; the Hull Sport Park. The Hull Sport Park proudly boasts world class on-campus sport facilities including the iconic Allam Sport Centre.

The Hull Sport service has a reputation for delivering first class sport services both on the main campus and in the community.

This is an exciting time to be part of the Hull Sport team and play a role in delivering an excellent customer experience for our students, staff, and community in the region's premium sport and fitness facilities.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The post holder is responsible for co-ordinating the delivery and implementation of a programme of sport development at the University. Managing a wide range of sport development programmes that include engagement and workforce opportunities, student well-being and a focus on participation in sport and active recreation.

The Sport Development Manager will work with our sporting partners to advocate Hull Sport facilities and services and develop opportunities to benefit the full University community.

Working closely with the Head of Sport and Hull Sport Management Team, the post holder will ensure an integrated on-campus sport offer for students at the University of Hull that supports the business plan and strategy of sport and active recreation.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Evidence of experience in a Sport Development environment covering a broad range of programmes and projects.
  • Experience in operational shifts in the leisure industry
  • Can demonstrate examples of leading a team or individuals
  • Can demonstrate the ability to use a broad range of products from the Microsoft Office

This position is fixed term from July 2025 until May 2026 (Maternity Cover)
