Job Description :

We are seeking a new member of our EPS Senior Leadership Team! Due to the retirement of one of our wonderful colleagues, we are looking to recruit a new Senior Educational Psychologist to join our leadership team in September 2025. We are a strong and supportive team who meet regularly and work closely together on shared priorities. We are a dynamic and expanding Educational Psychology Service with a range of experienced and newly qualified EPs, as well as Trainee and Assistant EPs.

We are offering a 0.4 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) permanent Senior EP post with up to 0.6 FTE additional permanent Maingrade EP contract also available for applicants seeking to work full time. The Senior EP role will be co-leading an EPS team based in the South District of Nottinghamshire as a job share. The main grade EP role will support our EPS service delivery across the full range of our activities (Soulbury Educational Psychologists – Scale A 2-7, Starting point 4 plus up to 3 SPA points).

The successful candidate will be supervised by the principal educational psychologist and these are the essential things we are looking for in the role:

  • A dynamic individual who is keen to join a collaborative leadership team.
  • Someone who can offer leadership, support and guidance to our educational psychology team and service.
  • Someone with strong personal resilience and the ability to make decisions and facilitate problem-solving in complex situations.
  • Strong application of psychology to support the inclusion of children in vulnerable situations including children with SEND, children in care, previously in care and children with a social worker, children at risk of exclusion from education and children involved in the youth justice system.
