Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and accounting, with experience in financial management and accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial records.
• Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft for efficient financial management.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of financial services and principles of financial management.
• Proficiency in financial accounting practices and standards.
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
