We're looking for a confident, ambitious, and people-savvy Partnerships Coordinator to join the team at Imperial College Union and our media agency, Imprinted. You'll be at the heart of exciting brand campaigns — from big-name sponsors to cool brands — connecting them with students through events, digital ads, pop-ups, and more.
You'll lead on bringing in top brands for major moments like our Welcome Fairs and Summer Ball, pitching ideas, making sales calls, building relationships, and managing deals from start to finish. It's a fast-paced, target-driven role with loads of variety — perfect if you love sales, events, and making things happen.
Expect to travel between campuses, keep track of invoices and income, and work with a bunch of brilliant internal and external teams. If you're a natural communicator with sales experience, super organized, and ready to dive into a fun, rewarding role — we want to hear from you!
What you would be doing
The successful candidate will focus on the below key responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and contact potential brand partners through sales outreach, calls, emails, and LinkedIn
- Book in and manage commercial stallholders for on-campus events, including Welcome Fairs, pop-ups, and seasonal activations
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a first point of contact for commercial clients, ensuring smooth onboarding and campaign execution
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing partners and sponsors
Campaign & Event Support
- Support the planning and delivery of major events and campaigns, ensuring commercial presence is fully integrated
- Coordinate logistical requirements for brand activations across campus
Media Scheduling & Coordination
- Manage and schedule digital media placements, including screen advertising, emails, and social posts
- Ensure campaigns run on time and according to brand agreements
Finance & Reporting
- Raise and manage invoices for commercial bookings in line with internal procedures
- Track and report on income generated, providing regular financial updates to senior staff
The full duties and responsibilities are set out in the Job Description and Person Specification.
What we are looking for
- Demonstrable commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience of working within a sales environment and driving sales
- Experience of working with commercial partners
- Experience of writing web and social content
- Understanding of customer service best practice
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Proactive, respectful and team mind-set with the ability to also work autonomously
- Ability to build strong relationships and present information to a range of audiences in a clear, accurate and confident way to meet the desired outcomes
- Ability to plan monitor and implement projects to agreed deadlines and financial targets, often with conflicting priorities
What we can offer you
Please note this role is with the Students' Union. We're a registered charity in our right, with our own governance, systems, processes, and objectives. However, we work extremely closely with Imperial College London, so you'll also be joining a wider community of staff working within higher education. If you've never worked in a students' union, or are unsure why it's different, we encourage you to get in contact. It's a brilliant place to work.
As an employee of Imperial College, you will be part of lively community and work in a friendly and relaxed environment. Our aim is to provide to all our employees an encouraging and relaxed working environment with an emphasis on personal development and work-life balance. Based on that we offer:
- flexible working hours
- generous pension scheme
- 25 days holiday (plus 6/7 extra days per year for College Christmas and Easter closures)
- bicycle loan scheme
- season ticket loan
- health benefits
- excellent professional development opportunities and many more.
