Job Description :
To assist the Steward and Assistant Steward in the management of an efficient, profitable, vibrant and pleasant Members Club.
You will be responsible for all club staff when on duty in the absence of the Steward /Assistant Steward.
Main tasks include:
Serve customers efficiently and pleasantly. Ensure the Bar areas are kept clean at all times. Replenish stock, change barrels and gases when needed.
Carry out any and all cellar work including receiving deliveries and line-cleaning.
Take phone messages and check room hire availability, including taking deposits and other payments.
Open up when required ensuring all rooms are set up up for the events throughout the day. Report any essential maintenance work.
Lock the building when required, ensuring all alarms are set and the front gate is locked.
With this position we are offering the chance for the right candidate to progress further which will include helping plan, organise and run the many events we hold throughout the year.
This position will include attending 2 monthly meetings, liaising with committee members, advertising, research and various office work, as well as bar shifts amongst other things.
With this position there will be more permanent hours available and an increase in wages.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
