Job OverviewAs a Bank Support Worker, you will cover shifts as need arises. You will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily living activities and providing compassionate care. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those you support, whether in a home care setting or supported living facility. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to promoting independence and dignity for our clients.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Support clients Living with disabilities by engaging them in meaningful activities and routines.
- Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to enhance client well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
- Engage in heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Engage with positive behaviour support to assist clients ex behaviour challenges
Skills
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and practices.
- Experience in meal preparation that accommodates various dietary requirements.
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support techniques and strategies for effective communication and support.
- Previous experience in home care or supported living settings is highly desirable.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients.
- Ability to drive safely and responsibly, ensuring the well-being of clients during transport.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
