Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our team. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and eager to contribute to the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Bartenders: Assist bartenders by stocking the bar with necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, stock and ice.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the bar area clean and organised by wiping down surfaces, cleaning spills, and removing used glassware, bottles, and rubbish.
Restock Supplies: Regularly replenish inventory such as napkins, straws, ice, and beverages to ensure the bar is fully stocked during service hours.
Glassware Handling: Collect, wash, and restock glassware efficiently to ensure an adequate supply during peak hours.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and inform the team of any low levels of stock.
Assist with Opening/Closing Duties: Help with setting up the bar before opening and breaking down the bar after closing, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
• Support Bar Operations: Perform other tasks as directed by bartenders or management to ensure smooth bar operations.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
Communication Skills: Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others and follow instructions.
Work Ethic: A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
• Availability: Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
