About the role

The post holder will work on the EPSRC/SNU/KIST grant project “Hybrid quantum computing to search for optimum quantum architecture”.

What you would be doing

The main tasks of the post holders will be

  • To explore hybrid quantum computing to make a best use of various physical platforms in combination
  • To characterise noise and inefficienties and to find the minimal amount of quantum resources required to achieve error recovery.
  • To work with experimental groups within the consortia

The duties will include identifying concrete problems and developing new theoretical protocols for quantum computing architectures and implementation schemes to perform quantum algorithms with reduced errors. In this project, the post holder will work with Professor Myungshik Kim and PhD students and other postdocs in his group.
