Purpose of the role

The Data Science Intern will contribute to our data-driven decision making and strategic initiatives, working alongside experienced data scientists and analysts. The role focuses on applying data analysis and machine learning techniques to solve business problems and optimize performance. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading data science environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Data Analysis - Assist in analysing large datasets to extract meaningful insights, trends, and patterns that can support business decisions.
  • Machine Learning Models - Participate in the development, testing, and validation of machine learning models to predict outcomes and improve processes.
  • Data Cleaning - Support in cleaning and preprocessing raw data to ensure data quality and readiness for analysis.
  • Visualisation - Create visualisations to communicate data findings effectively to stakeholders, using tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Research and Development - Conduct research to identify new opportunities and innovative approaches in data science that could benefit the company.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support as required.

Your requirements & strengths

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • You have a strong understanding of data analysis, statistical methods, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is essential.
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools and libraries.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting findings and insights.
