About WAX:

WAX is a locally run company consisting of 3 venues.

WAX Watergate:

Open all year round, WAX Watergate is a lively and thriving restaurant and bar, offering a mix of quality dining, relaxed lunches or a casual pint.

The venue consists of the new Offshore bar located downstairs alongside our takeaway kitchen, the WAX restaurant and bar are located upstairs. Watergate has an array of outdoor seating enabling our guest to experience our services whilst enjoying the iconic view of the bay in the summer sunshine. The venue serves food all day and can turn over 400 covers during the high season.

During the winter months, our WAX restaurant becomes the perfect place to warm up with a liquor coffee by our log burner whilst being mesmerised by the winter waves.

Our aim: ‘Whether our guests have just finished a surf and are looking for a cold refreshing pint in the sun, dining in our restaurant with the family to enjoy a special occasion, or catching up with friends over a relaxed lunch, we will make each experience memorable for the right reasons.

Job Role:

We are looking for seasonal, front of house team members to join our team.

Our staff should be passionate about customer service, enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience in restaurants preferable not essential, our job roles:

· Understand concept of the WAX family and restaurant

· Be knowledgeable on our food and drinks menu

· Be competent with carrying drinks tray and plates

· Comfortably handle own section in the restaurant

· Have good people skills and enjoy engaging with guests

· Be courteous and helpful to guest at all times

· Serve our guest in a personal, friendly, timely and relaxed manner whilst remaining genuine and professional

· Able to pour pints, make cocktails and work the bar

· Confident with using our POS system

· Able to assist in all areas of the restaurant when needed

· Work in a high pressure and fast paced environment

· Comply with all health and safety regulations

· Occasional room cleaning

Communication and cooperation are key to any successful restaurant, there is no front of house and back of house segregations, all our team need to be able to work together to create a smooth and enjoyable restaurant service for both guests' and staff.
