The Operations and Plant Support Administrator position will provide a central support to all areas of the UKI Industrial Gases Operations Business primarily but not limited to administrative support for both the Plant & Distribution at Didcot. The administrative tasks are varied to include working as a part of a team to manage purchasing requests & invoice payments, liaising with internal and external people, onsite document management, sorting and filing of paperwork onsite. Also other administrative duties as required by both the onsite team and central operations support. Always focusing on safety, speed and simplicity to ensure we meet our safety, compliance and regulatory objectives.

This role will be based on-site at our Didcot office, working 37.5 hours between Monday-Friday.

As the Operations Support Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • Prioritise safety - manage site access, attend site safety meetings, carry out office BSP (Basic Safety principles)

  • Manage distribution paperwork on site, ensure trip paperwork is sorted & filed daily & stored safely

  • Manage purchasing requirements from multiple site's though a shared mailbox. Identify and utilize the appropriate procurement tool for each request - Raise Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in SAP, process via E-form, PCard payments and purchases

  • Demonstrate excellent Vendor invoice management adhering to our service level agreements and ensuring items do not go overdue

  • Work with managers & service receivers to ensure goods receipt is carried out for goods and services

  • Work flexibly as part of the Operations Support Team to provide support for various administration tasks as required

  • Assist in editing and uploading weekly PowerPoint content through Triple Play to our Digital Signage

  • General on-site administration

  • Assist with Distribution paperwork

  • Provide support for processing of driver expense's

  • Provide support for the central team with purchasing for UKI Operations specifically plants and distribution

  • Provide excellent point of contact on site for internal and external customers, contractors, and personnel.

As the Operations Support Administrator you already are or have:

  • Passion to deliver excellent customer service

  • Confident in use of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Confident and professional telephone manner

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team

  • Good time management and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks to meet the demands of multiple requests
