What You’ll Be Doing:As a Claims Handler, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of claims across multiple insurance lines including property, casualty, liability, and commercial insurance.
- Being the client advocate, ensuring they receive timely, fair, and transparent claims handling.
- Negotiating claim settlements with insurers and third-party representatives to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation, ensuring all claims and communications are properly recorded and aligned with company standards.
- Providing excellent customer service, handling client inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Recommending proactive solutions to minimize future claims, such as risk management strategies and coverage adjustments.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, legal changes, and insurance regulations to continually enhance your expertise.
What We’re Looking For:The ideal candidate will bring:
- Experience in claims handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a strong ability to manage documentation and data accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex claims situations.
- A client-centric approach, always focused on delivering outstanding service.
- Proficiency in insurance software (Acturis is desirable) and Microsoft Office.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Claims Closure Rate: Successfully close claims within set timelines and service levels.
- Client Satisfaction: Ensure clients are happy and confident in the claims process through prompt, transparent, and empathetic service.
- Settlement Accuracy: Ensure that claim settlements are fair, accurate, and aligned with policy terms.
- Cost Management: Manage claims costs effectively to minimize financial impact while maximizing client value.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure all claims handling practices meet legal and company standards.
Key Relationships:
- Clients: Build lasting relationships and act as their trusted advisor through every step of the claims process.
- Insurers: Collaborate effectively with insurers to ensure efficient claims processing and settlement.
- Third-Party Providers: Coordinate with external parties such as loss adjusters, solicitors, and contractors to facilitate claim resolutions.
- Internal Teams: Work closely with the wider team to ensure seamless coordination and client satisfaction.
