Head of Governance
20 hours per week
£44,421 - £48,541 pro rata, per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
- Salary includes 4% increase which will be effective from 1st August 2024
Coventry College is seeking to recruit a Head of Governance. The post is a key senior role for an individual who has strategic vision and can act as independent advisor to the Corporation, but also work with the Principal and the Senior Management Team to ensure the timeliness and quality of information shared with the board. He/she needs to be able to demonstrate a high level of strategic understanding and strong independent judgement.
The Corporation exercises its business through a number of sub-committees:
- Finance and Resources
- Audit Committee
- Education and Standards Committee
- Search Committee
- Remuneration Committee
The College has had a positive recent Ofsted Monitoring Visit, enjoys a financial health rating of Good from the ESFA, is investing over £1m in capital in its campus during 2023/24, with a further capital building development in 2024 of c.£1.8m. The Head of Governance will have a particular focus on fostering links between the Board, the College community and our key stakeholders, shaping a programme of engagement and collaboration with our partners within the City and across the region.
