The role
We have a busy payroll department - responsible for over 7000 colleagues. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be at the heart of this team, using SAP and ensuring both weekly and monthly payroll deadlines are met accurately and without incident. Operating a hybrid working week, and with flexible hours within than, this is a chance to be part of an exciting business which will reward you well.
Your key responsibilities will be
To be responsible and accountable for managing and completing all workload allocated as part of a committed team dedicated to providing a First Class Quality Payroll Service for MAG and all MAG employees. Ensure the accurate, confidential and timely delivery of all tasks associated with the delivery and output of the payroll within Group Finance Shared Services, by ensuring that all aspects of pay and pay related matters are undertaken, meeting all required statutory standards, whilst working closely with, and supporting the rest of the payroll team and stakeholders.
What will make you successful in the role?
We are looking for someone with some existing payroll experience, at the heart of a relatively large organisation. You will have an excellent understanding of payroll statutory obligations, such as Tax, NI, Auto Enrolment, SSP, Paternity including Alabaster etc.
You will have a customer focussed approach, dealing efficiently and professionally with all internal and external contacts, and have superb verbal and written communication skills. There will be project work to take part in, meaning attention to detail and strong team ways of working will also be valuable. In addition, we offer hybrid working, meaning 3 days in our Manchester Office must be viable for you.
