Worley is currently recruiting for a Black Trades Foreman for ENQUEST.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our onshore team on the SULLOM VOE TERMINAL.

Expectations:

  • Accountable for the safe and effective supervision / execution of the Construction work scope, in adherence with Project HSEQ safety requirements, procedures and practices.
  • Ensure Construction workscopes are carried out in accordance with Project Construction specifications, standards and procedures.
  • Ensure all Construction activities are executed in accordance with the Project schedule / budget and ensure high standards are maintained and continuously improved.
  • Interface with all Project and Client teams / representatives.

Key aims and objectives:

  • Assist in ensuring all Project / Company HSEQ goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.
  • Ensure all Construction personnel are aware of safe working practices / procedures and are provided with a safe working environment.
  • Effective liaison with any Client and / or Sub-Contractor / Vendor representatives.
  • Deliver a high standard Construction service to the Project, ensuring a consistent and efficient approach is implemented at all times.
  • Implement a continuous improvement philosophy across all Construction activities, delivering best practices at all times.
Prime responsibilities and duties:
  • Plan, supervise and support of day-to-day Construction activities / personnel in the safe and structured delivery of the work scope and processes, ensuring all applicable site / Project safety procedures are fully and properly implemented.
  • Demonstrate high profile and visible safety leadership by example and communication with teams.
  • Provide support to Construction personnel, ensuring personnel are competent and possess the required skills.
  • Actively participate in all Company and Project safety initiatives.
  • Manage / monitor workforce start / break / finish times and ensure they are focused on the safe execution of their work scope when present on site, in accordance with site procedures.
  • Continuously review / refer to Construction workpacks to ensure workscope are being executed as planned. Escalate any identified issues to Construction Team Lead.
  • Liaise with Completions / Commissioning Engineers to identify site queries and progress Construction Workpack close out.
  • Develop and submit Construction activity permitry, lift plans, method statements and risk assessments in line with Client gate criteria procedures / schedule.
  • Ensure that all Construction work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications and Company systems of quality assurance are strictly adhered to and assist the Project quality team in the completion of site system test sheets and the test dossier.
  • Monitor and maintain Construction activity permits to ensure effective and efficient utilisation
  • Supervise / conduct tool-box-talks when required
  • Monitor and report progress on a regular basis - daily / weekly / monthly.
  • Attend / input in Project meetings when required.
  • Liaise with site Control of Work personnel to ensure daily work permits are issued and any issues are resolved.
  • Coordinate site resource / tooling / equipment requirements to ensure Construction workscopes are executed in line with schedule requirements - ie lighting, grit, etc
  • Monitor barrier management and ensure barrier owners adhere to Project / site barrier procedures.
  • Liaise with Project personnel to identify and deliver early Project gains.
  • Liaise with the Project Engineering office to ensure P&ID's and other drawings are produced in line with Construction
  • Liaise with Client representatives to ensure, where applicable / required, Construction data / services are supplied.
  • Ensure workforce timesheets are submitted on schedule.
  • Assist with and submit accurate workforce trip assessments on schedule.
  • Audit site / Project activities on a regular basis to ensure all compliance with Project safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with Sub-Contractors site representatives and ensure they are fully aware of their obligations and responsibilities
Person Spec:

Qualifications & certification

Essential:

  • Recognised Site discipline background.
  • Trade Apprenticeship with appropriate Technical Qualification.
  • Knowledge of Construction practices and procedures.
  • IT Literate (Excel / Word / Powerpoint etc).

Desirable:

  • Performing Authority experience.
  • Management NVQ Level 3.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Assessor / verifier qualifications.

Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in similar role in Oil and Gas Projects.
  • Delivery focused with proven experience in achieving Project goals whilst maintaining high standards in HSEQ at all times.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Construction process and its implementation.
  • Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of team working.
  • Extensive knowledge of O&G related HSEQ safe working practices / procedures.
  • Able to interface and interact with Management and Client representatives at all levels.
  • Detailed understanding of modern planning systems and their use in the execution of Construction as well as Project work scopes.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Construction process and associated systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of permit to work systems.

Desirable:

  • Conversant with HR practices / processes.

  • Able to interpret Project procedures and drawings in particular extensive understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Able to produce technical documents and procedures covering all aspects of the Construction
  • Able to compile accurate data.
