Rochdale Children's Services are looking to recruit Business Support Assistants on a permanent and a temporary basis to provide excellent administrative and financial support across both Children's Social Care and Early Help and Schools. This includes working with multiple partner agencies which includes GMP, NHS, Legal Services and Schools Depts etc.

The 12 month temporary post is covering the absence of the postholder.

About the role

The Business Support team play an essential role in supporting colleagues across the Children's Service directorate. As a Business Support Assistant, you would be providing administration and financial support to Social Workers, Team Managers, Service Leads and some multi-agency partners. Supporting colleagues in Early Help and Schools. Handling confidential information and monitoring shared team mailboxes and working to deadlines is essential to this role.

We are a friendly dynamic team, which takes pride in everything we do. Our Business Support Assistants are essential to our service delivery and play a key role in making sure we provide efficient and effective support.

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

Excellent communication skills

Organised

Hard-working and able to work well under pressure

Good numeracy and literacy skills

Flexible, adaptable and a can-do attitude

Willingness and ability to work in a busy office

ICT skills

Administrative experience

Customer service skills

The ability to take minutes would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given to the successful candidate
