JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Excercise Physiologist to join our team and make a positive impact. You will play a vital role role to deliver an exceptional Exercise Physiological service to our members and clients by assessing a patients medical history and designing personalised exercise and fitness program to improve overall health and aid in recovery from various conditions. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create a world class high performance service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluate a persons overall health, with special attention to cardio vascular function.

Conduct advanced assessments using fitness and stress tests on members and clients to determine their limitations to enhance their training and performance by conducting laboratory assessments (e.g. VO2 Max, RMR)

Measuring and monitoring patient vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, heart rhythms and oxygen levels.

Develop tailored exercise programs to increase physical fitness, endurance and flexibility to meet client/member performance goals.

You will have the responsibility of ensuring members /clients adhere to their fitness plans by providing guidance, support and accountability.

You will educate clients and on various topics educating them about their injuries and health conditions and empower them to make informed decisions.

Manage client/member pathway from consultant referral or patient enquiry to discharge including the creation of a training plan based on the findings of the test conducted and shared with the client's Personal Trainer

. Support with maintenance, calibration and quality control of the physiological testing equipment.

Understand and have knowledge of health and safety procedures for the site physiology laboratory.

Ensure that the delivery of the physiological service effectively meets its commitments to members and clients.

Be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Doctors, Physio's and Sport Therapists and also attend weekly Gym meetings

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

3-5 Years experience as a an Exercise Physiologist.

  • Degree (or equivalent) in sports science or related subject, specialising in the area of sport and exercise physiology
  • Desirable - Master's degree (or equivalent) specialising in a relevant field of sport and exercise physiology

Experience of providing physiological support to improve performance

Ability to interpret and understand statistical data.

Ability to communicate complex data in terms that are easily understood by a wide range of audiences.

An understanding of the various sports science and sports medicine disciplines.

Desirable

Interest in personal and professional development

Interest in development of the service and working with marketing team to help promote the Performance Lab

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £36,000.00 per year
