Assistant SENDCo – September 2024

Full-time during term-time

Bradford Grammar School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Assistant SENDCo.

The successful applicant will enhance the educational outcomes of SEND pupils in both the Junior and Senior schools by coordinating support services, collaborating with staff and parents, and delivering targeted interventions.

Person Specification :

  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs. Desirable: experience supporting primary-school aged pupils.
  • Knowledge of the SEND code of practise (2015) and the Equality Act (2010). Desirable: SEN qualification
  • Experience in planning and delivering interventions.
  • Experience in facilitating and supporting inclusive education within a school setting.
  • Awareness and responsiveness to the needs of students and the ability to form good relationships with them.
  • An advocate for SEND pupils and inclusion.
  • Calm and approachable demeanour.
  • Excellent communication skills.
