Our client in Edinburgh is seeking a motivated and outgoing Customer Service and Sales Assistant to join their growing team and represent some of the UK's most respected charities through face-to-face promotional campaigns.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about sales and purpose-driven work. You'll engage directly with members of the public, building rapport and turning conversations into long-term support for causes that change lives. Key Responsibilities:
Public Engagement & Outreach:Confidently approach and engage members of the public in high-footfall areas such as stores, shopping centres, train stations, high streets, and events. Your role is to initiate conversation, spark interest, and create a memorable first impression that connects people emotionally to the charity's cause.
Sales Conversion:Use your communication and persuasion skills to explain the benefits of regular giving and close the sale by securing new, long-term donors. This is a highly interactive role where success is measured by your ability to inspire and convert interest into action.
Tailored Messaging:Adapt your conversations and pitch based on the audience, using empathy, emotional intelligence, and an understanding of the charity's mission to create a compelling and relevant message for each individual.
Customer Service & Support:Deliver an exceptional customer experience by answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing reassurance. You'll ensure every potential donor feels valued, heard, and appreciated throughout the interaction.
Campaign Representation:Act as the face of the charity - upholding high standards of professionalism, trust, and enthusiasm. No matter the charity, you'll represent the organisation's core values with integrity.
Achieving Sales Targets:Work towards daily and weekly sales goals, with clear KPIs and bonus incentives. Your performance directly influences your earnings through an uncapped commission structure with competitive On-Target Earnings (OTE) pay.
Team Collaboration:Be part of a dynamic, energetic sales team where success is celebrated and knowledge is shared. You'll take part in team briefings, skill-building sessions, and collaborative target setting.
