Job Responsibility:
Meon Health Practice has 3 sites, The Highlands Practice, Jubilee Surgery and Whiteley Surgery. This role is currently based at our Whiteley Surgery but you may be required to work at any of our sites as required. This vacancy is for 30 - 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday between 8:00am and 6:30pm) working pattern to be agreed.
Working with in our Workflow Team providing administrative support to the Practice to ensure that all patient correspondence received or created is accurately and efficiently processed and recorded, ready for review.
You will scan, read code and workflow relevant information from patients clinical records, hospital correspondence and other sources into the Practice computer system, working strictly in accordance with the Practice workflow protocols.
KEY/MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scanning of letters and relevant correspondence into patients notes.
- Read Coding the information into the Practice clinical system
- Transferring relevant data from clinical correspondence and input into electronic patient record.
- Workflow all correspondence according to the Practice protocol using the workflow software and action as appropriate
- Filing and retrieving paperwork
- File copies of discharge summaries electronically
- Handle telephone queries and re-direct as appropriate
- Ensure security of data at all times
- Respond in a timely manner to requests sent into the Networks email account
- Action Emis workflow and direct as necessary
- Identify and refer any clinical actions to the GP
- Process deductions effectively and efficiently
- Process and deal with Safeguarding documentation
- Ensure the security of data at all times
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Provide non clinical advice and information to patients
- Any other duties agreed between the employee and the Practice
Person Specification
Essential Skills/Experience
- Experience of working within an administrative role
- You will need to have good communication skills both written and verbal, be organised, methodical and able to work quickly and accurately
- Good computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Office / 365
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Experience of working in a GP practice
- Working knowledge of EMIS and Docman
- A good understanding of medical terminology and read codes
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.88 per hour
