Job Responsibility:

Due to their continued growth, My Best Friend Dog Grooming are now looking for a dog grooming apprentice to join their friendly team. We are committed to delivering outstanding grooms and great customer service and pride ourselves on 5* reviews from clients.

Duties will include, but not limited to;

• Bathing, drying and preparing dogs for the salon groomer / stylist
• Offering clients a range of ancillary products that may be sold by the business from time to time.
• Making bookings and scheduling the diary.
• Taking payments and cash handling.
• Providing a caring environment to clients' dogs at all times and ensuring high levels of welfare whilst a dog in your care.
• Cleaning - end of day and as required.
• Any other duties as required or requested by the business owner.

Desired Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in maths and English Grade 4/C desirable but not essential.
• Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in dog grooming.

Future Prospects

• For the right candidate this is a developmental role with the opportunity to progress to Dog Groomer / Stylist

Training

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Groomer Apprenticeship
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
• The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
