We're looking for a Global Credit Manager to join the INEOS Acetyls team. We need highly motivated individuals who want to be part of our growing business.

The opportunity

The Global Credit Manager supports the business in optimising performance by identifying and providing credit information, to effectively manage customer risk and improve accounts receivable levels. Providing input when required to accurately forecast business cash, whilst adhering to the DoA.

Key accountabilities

  • Review, develop and implement the global credit processes, policies, procedures and reporting, ensuring they are fit for purpose and aligned with the goals of the business whilst also complying with legislation, business delegations and the credit policy.
  • Define and continually review the credit risk strategy by establishing a matrix across sectors, countries and financial risk.
  • Set and manage the global customer risk management through review of financial results, analysis, recommendation and monitor credit lines to migrate risk using internal and external resources.
  • Provide guidance when necessary to Commercial and Board members on credit options.
  • Oversee the Credit Control to ensure prompt collection of receivables, liaise with Account Managers to address concerns to find solutions for business continuity limiting risk.
  • Oversee the issuance of the monthly performance reports to the Board.
  • Present to Board members the quarterly Credit performance and an update of any other business.
  • Attend customer visits with Commercial to build customer relationships.
  • Ensure Letters of Credit are performed in accordance with the latest UCP regulations and INEOS Acetyls guidelines.
  • Liaise with Commercial and Finance for cash forecasts and represent the businesses on select Credit function initiatives.
  • Oversee the securitisation reporting to Group, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Work with INEOS Group financial team to ensure that all Business Unit Credit information meets the needs for internal and external reporting.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct report(s) to ensure capabilities are maintained, process improvements are continually achieved, and individual skills are developed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure high professional standards.
  • Network within the INEOS credit community to manage customers / suppliers to multiple businesses.
  • Periodically perform other financial duties, projects and activities as required by the CFO and Finance Controller.

About you

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is CICM qualified with a strong financial, analytical and business acumen that translates to thinking commercially in support of continuous business process improvement.

An understanding of security instruments (LCs, Guarantees) is essential along with a deep understanding of fundamental credit drivers and credit exposure. Experience of SAP would be an advantage.

You will be highly independent and results-orientated in order to encourage a culture of high data quality through accuracy, attention to detail, consistency and understanding.

Being pro-active with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the skill of negotiating both internally and externally is also key to this role.

As you will be leading the Credit Control Function, strong managerial skills are also important, along with the ability to translate ideas into action and gain the respect and cooperation of team members.

There may also be a need to travel to the Americas, Asia and throughout Europe as required.
