- Establish guidelines, best practices and support systems for content contributors.
- Organise regular meetings, workshops and forums for the content management community to share ideas, successes and challenges, providing a collaborative and cohesive approach to digital content.
Advanced Analytics and Reporting:
- Analyse data to derive actionable insights, reporting on website metrics to stakeholders.

- Lead SEO efforts to improve search engine visibility and user experience, including site speed optimisation and mobile responsiveness.
User Experience and Interface Design
- Champion a user-centred design approach, focussing on creating intuitive and engaging interfaces.
Accessibility
- Take the lead on ensuring that the organisation's digital platforms adhere to web accessibility standards, including the Wed Content Accessibility Guidelines and any applicable legal requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of the website and digital content to identify areas where accessibility can be improved, working closely with web developers, content creators, and designers to implement necessary changes.
The ideal candidate will bring a creative flair, a passion for keeping ahead of digital trends, along with the following:
- Demonstrable experience as a Web Manager or equivalent, ideally from a Higher Education institution, or similar public sector organisation.
- Proven track record of successfully managing web projects from concept to launch, including overseeing timelines, budgets and resource allocation.

About LSTM
Founded in 1898 and the oldest of its kind in the world, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for teaching and research in tropical diseases. Through the creation of effective links with governments, NGOs, private organisations, and global institutions and by responding to the health needs of communities, LSTM aims to promote improved health, particularly for people of the less developed/resource poorest countries in the tropics and sub-tropics.
Due to the volume of applications we receive, we sometimes close our vacancies early. It is therefore advisable to apply as early as possible if you would like to be considered for a role.
