Registered Manager-London and South

Salary: £70,000,00 – £90,000.00 a year plus other benefits.

Sunbeam Fostering Group is one of the largest Independent Fostering Agencies in the UK with a reputation for high standards and outstanding support, training and development. We are looking to appoint a full time Registered Manager to provide leadership as a member of Sunbeam’s senior management group and support Sunbeam’s objectives and priorities.

Main Responsibilities

· To model and embed Sunbeam’s values, helping to achieve our commitment to be an outstanding independent fostering services provider.

· To ensure high standards of performance, and cost effectiveness, to be personally accountable for service excellence and to ensure accountability within the service.

· To ensure a clear and consistent focus on safeguarding of children and young people

to be safe in foster home.

· To develop existing and new services effectively to meet current and future challenges.

· To ensure the supervision and support of supervising social workers, trainee social workers and other social work support staff, as required.

· To supervise the work and monitor the performance of the team in support of the Head of Services.

Qualification and experience

The candidates should have bachelor’s degree in social work, Dip in SW, CQSW or equivalent Social Work Qualification. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Health & Social Care and Children and YP Services and People’s’ Management. Registration with Social Work England.

Minimum of 15 years post qualifying experience in Statutory childcare work including child protection. Experience of managing team in childcare setting is essential.

Experience of working collaboratively with external agencies in order to develop and deliver a responsive, quality and coordinated services.

A clean full UK driving licence and use of a car are essential.

The successful candidate will be based in our head office in Langley, Berkshire.
