How you'll make an impact:
Your Role at a Glance
As Operations support, you'll directly support the Senior Operations Manager on operational maintenance, change and project delivery associated with the Reward Benefits and Consulting (R&BC) business.
You'll assist with implementing organisational strategies, policies and practices associated with improving process quality, consistency, adherence, control and efficiency, including creating process collateral and documentation to support the RBC business. As well as, provide administrative support to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements including Training and Competence and Quality Assurance.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Operations Management team in planning operational change and project delivery, including tasks relating to transition of work to Gallagher Service Centre (GSC)
- Assisting with the production of consistent, branded supporting documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams, Process Guides, Training Manuals (Instruction Sheets), Template Letters
- Assisting with the development of Peer/QA checklists aligned to each process to help drive the delivery of QA checking across the business, noting the collation of data and trend analysis in line with the QA policy and framework
- Examining business data and MI (including exception reporting) and disseminating to Business Leads and Client Support Managers, to support the embedding of process, enhance consistency and quality, leading and driving best practices to continually improve client services and retention
- Maintaining a register of approved business collateral and documentation and liaising with compliance/relevant stakeholders to ensure continued approval or discontinuance at expiry of the same
- Providing administrative support to the ISO Management Team in respect of maintaining ISO9001/27001 certification
- Acting as operational point of contact for collaboration with the IT and finance teams in respect of key deliverables such as cost and equipment tracking
- Organising and attending meetings as required to ensure delivery of work streams/projects
- Liaising with colleagues within the GBS UK Business Units and senior management to ensure that all RBC and wider GBS UK business requirements, where relevant, are met
- Working to specific time deadlines and service levels agreed with management
- Carrying out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher's shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business.
Plus any additional duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role
About you:
What we are looking for Desirable- Technical knowledge of Employee Benefits including Group Risk, Group Healthcare and Group Pensions
- CF1 (or FPC Equivalent) or Certificate in Financial Administration
- The job holder would be expected to obtain the applicable professional qualification should they wish to develop their career
Essential- Good standard of general education including Maths and English
- Good knowledge of compliance procedures within a financial services organisation
- IT literate with proven abilities across all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Publisher)
- Familiar with Adviser Office administration systems

- Excellent organising/planning skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks and organise workloads in a structured and logical way, working to tight deadlines
- Adaptable to perform tasks of varying levels form mundane to technical
- Confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills at all level
- Awareness of the regulatory requirements in respect of ‘advised' and ‘non-advised' sales, and in particular evidencing the standards and knowledge required in respect of giving advice and making recommendations to customers
