Job Title: IT Support Assistant (Part-time)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to our office and employees, ensuring the smooth operation of all systems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a progressive environment and contribute to the overall success of our organisation. Expertise and experience in IT support are essential.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to help desk requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals, including Windows operating systems.
- Support Microsoft Office suite applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Set up and support VPN connections for remote users.
- Assist with the maintenance and management of IT infrastructure components.
- Record and report issues to the director, demonstrating good reporting skills.
- Collaborate with management to implement solutions and upgrades.
- Assist in managing LAN/WAN networks and firewall configurations.
- Utilize remedy systems for issue tracking.
- Conduct software troubleshooting and assist with queries.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in TCP/IP protocols and network technologies.
- Experience in technical support and help desk operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot software-related issues effectively.
- Expertise in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.) is essential.
- Competence in hardware and software configuration is essential.
- Experience with accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is desirable.
