Job Responsibility:

We're excited to be recruiting for a new IT Service Management & Licence Administrator to join our growing IT team at Burges Salmon. In this role you will play a key part in our team, overseeing the firm's application licences, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements. You will also play a pivotal role in IT Governance forums, driving discussions and actions towards IT service excellence.

Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts for regular Application service reviews is essential in this role, as is maintaining accurate up-to-date operational documentation. If you are a keen collaborator who can explain technical matters to colleagues clearly and thrive supporting varied projects and initiatives, this role could be for you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all activities relating to software licensing.
  • Be responsible for providing licence information to budget holders to assist them in managing software renewals.
  • Assist in the collection and dissemination of software updates from vendors to SME's in order to support the IT Governance forums.
  • Assist the Infrastructure and Security manager with the Azure Billing and Budget reconciliation report.
  • Support and co-chair the IT Governance forums, including preparation, facilitation, and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to conduct annual Application Service Reviews and update operational documentation where appropriate.
  • Attend the IT CAB and ensure that all changes to software versions and licensing Azure costs are captured and kept up to date in the various asset repositories.
  • Maintain and keep up to date the Computer Asset register.
  • Assist the IT Service Management Specialist in developing, maintaining, and implementing our ITIL policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Project Management Team and colleagues with the implementation of the Services Transition process alongside the IT Service Management Specialist.

What we're looking for:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Visio.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • ITIL (Version 3 or later) experience or exposure to foundation-level concepts (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of software products used in UK Law firms (preferred but not required)
