Job Description :
The purpose of the role, is to support the nursery director and manager with general office duties, greeting parents and financial/office duties. You will undertake a level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, and will be supported and trained, new tasks will be introduced each week/month.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
· Answer, and deal with phone calls, directing phone calls to appropriate personnel.
· Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
· Assist in scheduling and following up on meetings and appointments.
· Perform data entry and update records as needed.
· To carry out basic office duties such as photocopying, filing, typing, answering, and responding to calls and emails.
· To follow up and book appointments for prospective parents.
· To supervise the office in the management’s absence, ensuring the security is paramount.
· Maintaining and updating children’s and staff records.
· To provide administrative support to the nursery manager and staff.
· Completing requested documentation from the local authority such as censes, audits and funding.
· To clearly explain the nurseries funding policy to parents/carers, and to ensure all eligible children receive the funding by submitting the correct information on the West Northamptonshire Provider Portal.
To support and give advice to parents with regards to help with paying for childcare. E.g tax free childcare, universal credit.
Entry requirements
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office. (Excel and word in particular)
· Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Confident in communicating with clients and other professionals. (parents/carers)
· Excellent telephone communication skills.
· Ability to communicate professionally and proficiently in English.
· G.C.S.E.S/A levels in English and Maths.
Job Type: Temp to permContract length: 12 months
Pay: £6.40 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
