Job Role : Senior Clinical Pharmacist Salary : £50,000 Job Type : Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Location : Basingstoke Start date : ASAP Sponsorship is available for this role. However, applicants must have significant UK Senior Clinical Pharmacist work experience .About our client: This private hospital in Basingstoke, is part of Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare; with a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics, they perform more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. They have an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department. About the role: As a Registered Senior Clinical Pharmacist working within our client’s Pharmacy department at their private hospital, you will deliver a high-quality Pharmacy service, where you will:

  • Provide pharmaceutical expertise and input to the care of the patients within the hospital.
  • Support the pharmacy department to deliver an excellent medicine management service to all customers, supervising the procurement, preparation, dispensing and distribution of medicines.
  • Supervise junior staff members in the delivery of the medicine management service, and where necessary to assume responsibility for specialist clinical service.
  • Facilitate the daily running of the pharmacy department, providing a safe and effective medicines management service to all patients, staff, consultants and customers.
  • Provide clinical input with respect to medicines to all patients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely charging.
  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory, professional and best practice frameworks.

About you: You will be a GPC registered Pharmacist with a degree-level qualification (MPharm, BSc or BPharm) in Pharmacy with at least two years previous UK hospital experience. In addition, you will have:

  • Registeration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacist.
  • Knowledge of General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice.
  • Post graduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years registration & 2 years within a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
