Job Responsibility:
Due to expansion and a current waiting list, we are looking to recruit a room leader for our toddler room.
Tick Tock Playgroup are looking to employ a room leader in our toddler room supporting children from 2 - 3 years old.
We are open 8 am - 6pm 51 weeks per year.
Hours of work: Days and hours can be negotiated at interview for the right candidate
Requirements:
A minimum of level 2 in early years is required plus supervisory experience within early years
Desirable:
Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, First aid and experience in supervising within a room
As a room leader you would be responsible for the day to day supervision/running of the room. You will perform an important role in caring for children, maintaining a high-quality stimulating learning environment, supervising staff as well as supporting with their development.
You will need to be a creative and reflective leader. Be able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice and support the management team.
You will need to keywork a small group of children. You will be expected to collate all observations on key children to build up their ‘Learning Journey' and set their next steps, write reports and attend parents' evenings 3 x per year.
A sound knowledge of the EYFS is essential to support the children's learning and assist with planning, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation, ensuring that the children's choice and enjoyment is the prime motive
Support in providing an enabling environment for the children in the setting, implementing all playgroup policies to ensure the safeguarding and care of all who attend the setting.
The ability to liaise closely with staff and parents / carers to ensure that each child's needs are recognised and met, and be a good role model to children within the setting
To work well within a team, attending staff meetings and planning meetings
To be flexible in working hours and attend training courses
Applicant must be 18+ years due to being a key holder.
