This role offers the opportunity to be part of a friendly, professional, dynamic database team in supporting an ambitious fundraising department to utilise data and database usage to improve income. The role plays a crucial role in supporting all end users across the charity to ensure the functionality and benefits of the system are optimised. The Database Officers manage key processes for the importing of data, the collection of income and Gift Aid submissions to HMRC.
About the Team
The Database Team are an integral element of the wider Supporter Data and Relations Team, providing practical and technical support to the Fundraising department. Promoting consistency and accurate use of data, they play a key role in the implementation of the Data Strategy.
About you
You will have a passion for data, enjoy and excel in carrying out a wide variety of data related roles, flexing successfully between different tasks and priorities. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with a can do / problem solver approach and desire to deliver added value and improvements on an ongoing basis.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of managing and importing bulk data, and the resolution of related issues.
- Good knowledge of the Salesforce CRM solution (or similar); understanding of the basic data structure.
- Experienced in data support, including reporting, running selections and building queries within CRM systems / databases.
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail. Be methodical and organised.
- Ability to deliver comprehensive training sessions to database end users.
- Proven aptitude for problem solving – able to identify underlying issues and apply own initiative to find solutions, escalating points wherever needed.
