**Job Title: Summer Activity Leader**
**Location:** inlingua Leeds, a Language school based in Leeds
Hours: 35-45 per week
**Overview of role:**
As a Summer Activity Leader at inlingua Leeds, you play a vital role in creating a vibrant and engaging experience for our summer students. This dynamic position involves organizing and delivering a diverse range of activities, excursions, and workshops to ensure that students have a memorable, fun, and safe time during their stay. The role requires enthusiastic, personable and energetic individuals to help organise and prepare the social programme (individual to each centre), run activities, take students on trips and excursions and ensure that our students have a memorable, fun and safe time. Activity Leaders need to be flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks, as directed.
On weekdays students usually have classes in the morning . The rest of the time is spent with Activity Leaders on local visits, excursions or on-site activities. It is a busy programme and there is always something to do, so the ideal Activity Leader is well-organised, confident and fun with a can-do attitude and is always happy to get involved.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Escort students to and from activities, classes, and excursions, ensuring punctuality and safety.
2. Develop and implement a comprehensive daily timetable for activities, classes, and trips.
3. Organize and lead various on-site and off-site activities to promote student engagement and interaction.
4. Accompany students on excursions, trips, and visits, providing guidance and support.
5. Coordinate transportation for airport transfers, ensuring smooth arrivals and departures.
6. Prioritize the safety and welfare of students during all activities and outings.
7. Efficiently communicate with students, colleagues, and external partners to facilitate seamless activity coordination.
8. Plan, manage, and supervise cultural, social, and recreational activities to enhance student experience and language learning.
9. Encourage student participation, provide feedback, and address any concerns or requests promptly.
10. Adhere to school policies and health & safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for all participants.
11. Deliver support and assistance to students during emergencies or incidents arising during activities.
**Requirements:**
1. Previous experience working with students or in a similar role is beneficial.
2. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with a diverse group of students.
3. Strong organizational capabilities to coordinate and lead student activities successfully.
4. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings as per the summer programme schedule.
5. Familiarity with Leeds’ local area and attractions is advantageous.
