Elderholme Nursing Home was originally conceived in 1990 by local citizens with a vision to enhance their community and provide a safe, professional facility for local people in need of a residential care facility.

Forming the Wirrelderly charity (registered charity number 700121) a board of trustee directors and local volunteers launched Elderholme Nursing Home, donating their time and expertise to establish a much needed service to local residents and healthcare organisations.

Elderholme continues to serve as an integral component of the regional healthcare network, working closely with local medical practices, hospitals and councils to ensure that the most suitable option is found for the needs of local residents.

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in delivering treatment and support to individuals in need of medical assistance. We don't just invest in you, we will provide you with all the latest technology, support and knowledge to help you maintain and deliver excellent care to our residents.

Please see below the role responsibilities:- Providing personal care to patients such as washing, dressing, and feeding- Assisting patients with mobility and physical therapy exercises- Monitoring and recording vital signs under the guidance of healthcare professionals- Supporting patients with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines- Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Please see below the skills required:- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy- Willingness to undergo necessary training and development programmes
