Are you a science graduate or soon-to-be graduate (any of the sciences) who is genuinely passionate and committed to making a difference in the lives of young people?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you in Corby. A secondary academy, known for its close-knit community between every student and staff member is currently seeking a science graduate teaching assistant to work across Key Stage 3 & 4 in their science department and play a vital role in shaping the minds of their learners. This is an opportunity to work for the full 2024/25 academic year.
This position is perfect for anyone with a science degree and looking to start a career working with children or young adults. This school can also offer teacher training, so for aspiring teachers it could be the dream role!
Starting September, this term-time-only role has an excellent salary of £450 - £500 per week.

You will need:
- Passion and enthusiasm to shape the next generation.
- An interest in a career working with children or young adults.
- Science Degree - 2:2 or above.
- Have high expectations of teaching and learning.
- Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
- To have good communication skills
- To be confident, self-assured and happy.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- 1:1 and small group pupil support under the direct supervision of teaching staff.
- Supporting independent learning and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Supporting the teacher with managing behaviour and keep pupils on task.
- Helping to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils in social and emotional well-being.
- Ensuring all pupils feel valued and included in the classroom.
