About Us
Here at M.R. Insolvency we are a small team based in Morley, Leeds. To give you some back story, Michael set up his own company nearly 5 years ago and has never looked back. He started his professional career in accounting and the rest is history. We are a steadily growing team, and we have an exciting opening due to continued expansion. We are now looking for a graduate who has an interest in joining us.
This role is hands on and offers strong progression within a supportive, fun and friendly team. Main job purpose
To work within a team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technicalInsolvency services.
About You
We are looking for an individual who has around 1-2 years experience within insolvency but we are happy to hear from graduates who have no insolvency experience. For those with no insolvency experience, you must be able to demonstrate an interest in the financial service industry as we are a regulated service.
You will receive on the job training and there will be potential to increase your responsibilities and your work will be varied to help you continue your skill and professional development. Key Role Responsibilities – what you will be doing
- Office administration, including filing, copying, casting, and reading over documents relating to cases
- Maintaining high professional standards of conduct and practice
- Drafting and preparation of documents required for statutory processes (e.g. notices of general meeting, circulars to creditors, progress reports)
- Assisting at meetings including preparation of minutes
- Maintenance of case checklists, reporting and compliance diary, and electronic case records
- Work on several different assignments at one time, which would include working on Administrations and Company Liquidations
- Drafting routine case correspondence
- Analytical review of information to facilitate case strategy or to fulfil reporting requirements alongside Michael our Director
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Achieved a relevant degree. Examples include Accounting, Mathematics, Politics, Computer Science, Business & Administration and Law. If your degree isn’t listed, we are still keen to hear from you
- Strong organisational skill with ability to prioritise
- Ability to anticipate and communicate problems to others in the team
- Professional manner including good interpersonal, telephone and letter writing skills
- Takes responsibility for work tasks and quality, managing own workload and deadlines in conjunction with manager
- Keeps line manager updated on progress and highlights potential issues
- Shows enthusiasm and commitment to undertaking tasks as required and in particular in seeing tasks through to completion
- Builds rapport with peers internally and externally
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team – with a good sense of fun
- Excellent written and verbal English essential
- Experience in using Microsoft software packages – particularly Excel
