Job Responsibility:

The role

We are seeking a Management Accountant who will provide a comprehensive management accounts service to the organisation, by ensuring that all relevant financial controls are maintained and correct procedures followed.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will help to prepare and analyse management accounts, budgets and forecasts. You'll provide financial support to budget holders, their teams and the wider business as required

The role may require some travel to meetings in Croydon, Sussex, Kent and possibly the Midlands.

Please note, this Fixed Term Contract is for a period of 12 months

What you'll be doing:

• Contribute to an engaged and high performing team; prioritise tasks to meet key milestones; apply judgement showcasing the highest professional standards, culture of continuous improvement and exemplary values
• Develop and maintain good professional working relationships with customers and partners
• Manage the preparation of third party partners monthly management accounts including provision of support to budget holders, as necessary, submitting reports on budgets and results to committees and boards.
• Assist with budget and forecast cycles for areas of responsibility, advising stakeholders on key budgetary and forecast assumptions

What you'll need

• Knowledge of financial reporting and financial management
• Experience in producing budgets and forecasts
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills and prioritisation of workload
• Advanced Excel skills and skilled in the use of a variety of software packages
• Knowledge of UK social housing
