Job Responsibility:

Premier Forest Products are currently recruiting a Yard/Van Operative for our Mon Timber Branch in Cardiff.

You do not need previous experience for this role; though of course, it would be great if you did! (Knowledge of timber/building materials would be a plus) - Additionally you must be able to manage both the hands-on aspects of the role as well as providing a high level of customer service.

A Drivers Licence is required for this role as it includes van driving duties.

What you will be doing …..

Your daily duties will include:

· Serving and advising customers on the Trade Counter in a friendly and effective manner.

· Picking, assembling and loading/unloading delivery/customer vehicles.

· General yard duties (keeping site clean, safe and tidy etc.).

· Van driving duties, delivering goods to customers.

· Hourly rate of pay £11.44, with a review after successful competition of probationary period.

· Overtime rates.

· Working hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm, with a 1 hour unpaid break. Saturdays and Bank Holidays are required on a rota basis (paid at time and a half).
