Julian House is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.
Job Role: Vintage Valuables Volunteer
Hours: 3-4 hours per week
Location: Bath Walcot Street
The Role:
We are currently looking for someone to help out in our Central Bath Charity Shop working with vintage and antique items in the shop - researching and pricing china, collectables and vintage clothes amongst other items.
Responsibilities include:
- Researching and pricing vintage China, collectables, clothes and a variety of other items.
- Be able to process items and get them ready for display on the shop floor.
- Create displays for specialist items.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers interested in vintage items, including answering questions and providing background information.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- A genuine passion for and interest in vintage, antique, and retro items.
- Ability to conduct thorough research to determine the history, authenticity, and value of items.
- Basic knowledge of different types of vintage items, periods, and styles, or a willingness to learn.
- An eye for design to create attractive displays and effectively showcase vintage items.
