Job Responsibility:

We are seeking a high energy, organised, hands-on and strategic Studio and Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in a fast expanding East London based team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, capable of optimising processes to ensure the smooth functioning of the site's facilities and services.

  • Salary: £31,000
  • Working Hours: 40 hours p/w (minimum)
  • Leave: 25 Days per annum (plus bank holidays).
  • Complimentary gym membership
  • Scope to develop into a more Senior Role
  • Shifts rotate so possible start times of 6am required and occasional weekends

You would be joining the business at an integral part of delivering the Company's fitness and sales strategy and working closely alongside the Fitness Director and Sales Team to uphold a fantastic member experience. This is a great opportunity to have full ownership and implement effective processes and procedures that will define the studio.

Reporting to:

  • Studio Director

The Role...

  • Facility Management- Ensure the gym is clean, safe and well-maintained. Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment. Manage facility upgrades and improvements
  • Staff Management- Hire, train and supervise staff, including coaches, Front of house & cleaning staff- Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage during operational hours
  • Client Relations - Handle client inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure high customer satisfaction. Develop and implement customer service protocols. Organise client onboarding and orientation sessions.
  • Timetable Management- Work alongside the Head of fitness to develop an incredible class timetable
  • Financial Management -Prepare and manage the gym's budget. Oversee billing, invoicing, and payroll. Track and report on financial performance, including membership sales and retention rates.
  • Marketing and Sales
  • Health and Safety Compliance Ensure the gym complies with local health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols and emergency procedures. Conduct regular health and safety audits.
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies to attract and retain clients.
  • Assist with coordinating with local businesses and community groups for partnerships and events

The Person...

  • Strong Leadership and people management skills.
  • Some experience in operations management, preferably within the wellness, hospitality, or similar industry.
  • A self-starter, eager to get stuck into the role and go above and beyond to drive the success of the business.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in operational software and tools for analysis, reporting, and process optimisation.
  • Exceptional service standards and customer focus.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages (Windows, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • A confident and clear communicator.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Well presented with good written and spoken English.
  • Committed to self-improvement and professional development.
  • Self-driven with a positive attitude and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
