Job Overview

Vacancy for a full-time enthusiatic showroom assistant, working as part of a small team. Hours 8.30 - 5.00 Monday to Friday. Some Saturdays will be required as we are open 6 days a week and can be taken either as overtime or by taking a weekday off in lieu.

Duties

• showing customers the difference between the various brands of mower and other garden machinery
• booking in service machines
• giving out machines ready for collection and taking payment accurately at the till and helping to lift mowers into the car
• maintain a clean and organised store, ensuring that merchandise is well-displayed, stocked and priced.
• some basic assembly of new machinery and fuel preparation of machines sold, together with advice on safe use
• serving customers at the counter
• answering the phone in a helpful and polite manner
• training will be given

Skills

• A pleasant manner and ability to talk to customers about their requirements, with excellent communication skills in English
• Good time-keeping and loyalty to the company
• Ability to sell effectively through engaging interactions with customers.
• Practical skills and a willingness to learn and follow established procedures as part of a team.
• Highly organised with attention to detail, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently.
