Here at The Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC), we are inclusive and dedicated, working to provide excellent support to our entitled personnel!

We have an exciting opportunity for an AO Administration Officer to join our friendly and welcoming team here atHis Majesty's Naval Base Plymouth.

This position is full time offering 37 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Job description

As the successful candidate you will support Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) in delivery of a safe and effective primary healthcare service within the firm base at the regional level to enhance and sustain the operational effectiveness. You will work as part of the Administration Team to be responsible for all administrative procedures within the Medical Centre, providing a welcoming and efficient front of house service to all Population at Risk

Person specification

Main duties of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Running reception, including answering email/telephones, booking appointments, arriving patients, responding to queries and directing patients.
  • Creating all new clinics on Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP) as required.
  • Registering new patients including the creation of new records for new entry, annotating medicals onto Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP), historical vaccinations and blood groups when provided.
  • Processing all secondary care referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS) and updating patient with any booked appointments.
