Are you looking for a role within an organisation where the work you do makes a real difference to people's lives? Are you looking to develop your fundraising experience with a sector leading team? If the answer is yes then this role as Corporate Partnerships Manager could be for you.
Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We all share it. And it drives our fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds we need to protect children and prevent abuse. Join us as a Corporate Partnerships Manager, and get more people involved in change that means everything.
Why are we recruiting?
We are recruiting for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the team to help us deliver on some exciting corporate partnerships and to identify and secure new partnerships as well as support the work of the wider UK team. This role will give you the chance to change the future for thousands of children.
The Team
The role is based in the Regional Corporate Partnerships team, which is one of the longest established, regionally based corporate teams in the third sector, with a track record of working with some of the largest and most dynamic businesses in the country. It has delivered strategic partnerships, commercial activity, and all sizes of charity of the year programmes. Last year, we exceeded our budget and we're looking for someone to join the team to help us continue this trajectory. We pride ourselves on a fantastic team culture and we are incredibly passionate and committed to invest in and help individuals to achieve their career goals and aspirations, as we place that at the very heart of our team ethos. Previous members of the team have gone on to progress their careers in specialist fundraising positions and leadership positions within the NSPCC and at other well-known organisations.
You
Your focus will be to offer excellent and creative account management to a range of partnerships across the Midlands region with support from the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager. One being a 7-figure partnership with a multinational manufacturer and another with one of the UK's most well-known family restaurant chains.
Your focus will also be to identify, develop and win new corporate support through commercial, strategic opportunities and charity of the year partnerships throughout the Midlands region with huge potential to grow new and existing audiences such as online safety and gaming.
If you are the right person for the role, you will feel confident in building and maintaining relationships with existing supporters and generating new leads with cold and warm prospects. With the right support, you'll feel confident in talking about the NSPCC in a way to influence others and secure partnerships, in both a one-to-one environment and to large audiences. You will be able to approach tasks with an open mind and work creatively both independently and with others to create powerful propositions. We are looking for someone who is organised, tenacious, new business focussed and ready for a challenge.
Working environment and benefits
Whilst the role is primarily home based, there is an expectation for the successful candidate to travel freely across your designated region (travel expensed), plus occasionally travel to other parts of the country for team meetings, training and to support the wider team.
Candidates will need to be based within or very close to the Midlands region.
In return, we can offer a flexible working arrangement to ensure a healthy work/life balance. The successful candidate may wish to work from their local NSPCC hub (Birmingham, Nottingham & Stoke) from time to time or may have individual circumstances that can be discussed at interview.
The NSPCC is a warm and welcoming place. We have an inclusive culture whereby we encourage all staff to bring their whole self to work.
We also offer a variety of benefits including:
- 29 days annual leave + bank holidays increasing to 32 days after 5 years' service
- Employee benefits and assistance programme
- Generous matched pension up to 7%
- Life assurance scheme
- Family friendly policies including enhanced maternity and paternity leave, adoption leave and IVF leave
- A range of learning and development opportunities including apprenticeship opportunities
- A range of lived experience network groups including Black Workers Support Group, Thrive Network, Muslim Colleagues and Allies Group, PINCC (Pride in the NSPCC's Colleagues and Children), the Family Network and Action 4 Deaf and Disabled as People Together.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the UK's leading children's charity and work alongside a friendly, passionate and dedicated team. If you share our passion about the impact you can create for children, we'd love to hear from you.
Successful applicants will be invited to an virtual interview at the end of June 2024.
If this sounds like an ideal and rewarding job for you, then please get in touch. We'd love to talk to you. Please contact:- Lloyd.butcher@nspcc.org.uk for more information.
