THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity to join our wonderful Wholesale team as Senior Creative Visual Merchandiser.

You will make an impact by ensuring that stores have captivating visual merchandising and innovative, eye-catching displays. You will be involved in ensuring all our stockists are exceptionally presented, whilst leading on visual merchandising projects from developing campaigns and concepts through to delivery across the Katie Loxton and Joma Jewellery brands. You will have the exciting opportunity to spend a week visiting our stores once every quarter on average.

In this dynamic and varied role, you will also be proposing creative concepts for our showrooms to showcase our latest collections and concepting floor plans to inspire our customers.

You will be based in our Head Office in Banbury, Oxfordshire for 3 days a week, with the freedom to work from home twice a week on average. You will have the opportunity to travel to our Franchise stores and Showrooms across the country once every two months on average.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Leading on the strategy and VM execution across all showrooms and stores, in the UK and the US, for all brands
  • Leading on imagining innovative physical builds that are boundary pushing and photo worthy under the direction of the Creative Director
  • Creating presentations that give clear direction - from mood boards to sketches, ensuring all direction is effectively communicated and all ideas are inline with seasonal design, key focuses and commercial needs of the business
  • Collaborating with the Design Team on photography and styling requirements, overseeing briefs, providing feedback on changes, and approving assets for use, sharing with the Creative Director for sign off as required
  • Working with the Wholesale and Merchandising teams to review sell through, seasonal buys and forecasts to ensure the showrooms are supporting this and sales mix is reflective of showroom space
  • Taking responsibility for all showrooms visual representation, across all elements, sounds, lighting, products, and graphics, ensuring we are always ready to sell and present products to customers in the best possible way
  • Setting up showrooms, managing other teams and employees who come and support during set up to ensure these are delivered on time
  • Being creative and resourceful; building installations, props and items for showrooms to bring innovative VM concepts to life
  • Managing the budget for the showrooms, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve desired outcomes whilst maintaining cost control
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and innovative VM techniques to keep ahead of the competition
  • Owning the window plan for stores ensuring these are coordinated and delivered in time for launches and within budget
  • Managing the franchise budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve desired outcomes whilst maintaining cost control
  • Providing appropriate VM training with stores to ensure standards are upheld
  • Building and maintaining a close relationship with the Franchise store managers to understand bestsellers in each store and tailor window launches accordingly
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies, fixtures and displays through regular analysis and reporting - Identifying areas for improvement and implement appropriate adjustments to optimise sales and brand impact

  • High attention to detail
  • Creative and resourceful individual with extensive knowledge of VM
  • Highly creative, able to propose conceptual and boundary pushing ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Commercially minded with strong knowledge of the brands, local markets, and awareness of competitors
  • Highly organised with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Highly resourceful and practical with a strong ability to translate creative and innovative ideas into physical builds and installations
  • Can effectively manage team resource and budgets
  • Project management skills with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work well under pressure with strict deadlines or short notice
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to travel weekends and outside of work hours (9-5pm) when required
  • Full clean driving license
  • Skilled in using Adobe programs including illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop is desirable
  • Skilled in using SketchUp or CAD design is desirable
