Full Job Description - Must live in Fleet or Farnborough

Job Summary

  • Overseeing operations of the business.
  • Managing new enquiries, customer bookings and supervising staff.
  • Reporting to owner.

Looking after customers

  • Replying to customers within 2 hours.
  • Onboarding new customers.
  • Walking Dogs
  • Overseeing staff and customer communication.
  • Carrying out meet and greets.
  • Arranging cover for walks, visits, sitting and boarding when staff are off.
  • Covering dog walks and pet visits in emergencies, until cover can be arranged.

Looking after systems

  • Managing the CRM system.
  • Ensuring registers and schedules are updated with changes daily.
  • Backing up registers and schedules every day.
  • Double checking all updates.

Looking after staff

  • Onboarding new staff and setting up supplies for new starters.
  • First line of comms for all staff.
  • Advising staff and answering staff questions.
  • Keeping staff holiday calendars up to date.
  • Scheduling in fortnightly meetings and quarterly appraisals for all staff.
  • Creating a fortnightly staff newsletter with owner.
  • Overseeing staff activities and reporting any issues.

Reporting

  • Daily progress report to owner.
  • Weekly catch-up meeting with owner to provide progress reports, updates, and ideas.

Development in the role

  • Continuing training and development in line with development plan.
  • Any other duties as required by the business.

You will need...

  • Strong work ethic - this is a small business, and it needs motivated self-starters.
  • Excellent written skills and communication skills, you'll be dealing with emails, phone calls and social media messages.
  • Experience with Microsoft word, and Excel.

Hours

  • Monday to Friday.
  • 0900-1100 and 1500-1700 will be for admin and Operations. 11-2 will be for dog walking. Flexible. Hours can be negotiated.
  • Occasional weekends may be required.
  • Additional hours may be required to cover sickness, holiday and business demands.

Job Types: Part time, PermanentPart-time hours: Between 15 and 30 per week

Salary: From £10.50 per hour
