Job Responsibility:
Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services, learning disability, wellbeing, older people's and eating disorder services across Norfolk and Suffolk. At any one time, around 23,000 people in Norfolk and Suffolk are receiving care and attention from the Trust. Job overview
As the Senior Executive Assistant to a busy CEO for a large mental health Trust, we are looking for someone who will provide high level and professional support. Holding a high degree of autonomy and using delegated authority from the CEO, you will be responsible for providing professional, comprehensive and high-quality senior executive support with the ability to respond to challenging demands in an effective and appropriate way
We are looking for someone with previous experience in the NHS or other public sector organisations, who is used to operating with sensitivity, political acumen, flexibility, credibility and a high degree of organisation and planning.

Our CEO, Caroline Donovan is ambitious for NSFT making changes at pace that are long lasting and sustainable. Your role will be instrumental in providing support to her in an operational role.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Chief Executive and the wider executive team with responsibility for day to day running of the office, supporting the coordination of external facing functions, public affairs and building and maintaining close relationships with key external stakeholders. You will also act as the main channel of communication for the CEO and between them and senior colleagues in and outside the Trust including with other NHS organisations as well as external and system partners.
You should be an excellent communicator, who can work at pace to support these busy offices in managing high volumes of information effectively, prioritising and actioning work on their behalf, whilst ensuring an effective business planning and support function is always provided. The role will be responsible for producing reports and briefings, ensuring these are accurate and up to date. You should have the initiative to respond flexibly as required to changing priorities and the ability to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

- Extensive experience of working in a senior PA/Executive Assistant role, including complex diary management and arranging meetings
- Experience of working in a complex NHS organisation or system with competing pressures and policy agendas

Desirable criteria
