Job Advert Description
Applicants are sought for a new and exciting post of AI (Artificial Intelligence) Coordinator within the Regional Cyber Crime Unit (RCCU). The successful candidate will Join our team as an AI Coordinator and play a pivotal role in shaping our organisation's AI strategy and implementation.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of AI solutions across Policing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams; from Policing, Welsh Government and National teams, including subject matter experts. Your role is to ensure any integration of AI technologies into our products and processes adheres to policy and guidance.
Applicants must be able to develop and execute AI project plans, ensuring alignment with organisation objectives and timelines. Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication. Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to drive efficiency and innovation. Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards and write guidance frameworks. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for AI systems being considered from third-party suppliers. To serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to stakeholders on AI concepts and best practices at a National level.
The applicant will be required to stay up-to-date with the latest AI trends, techniques, and industry developments.
Must be a qualified to Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field, or show equivalent technical working skill, knowledge and experience.
Preferably has project management skills or be prepared to work towards attaining these. Desirable to have some programming skills. Will require an analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for AI implementation. Desirable to understand data privacy, security, and ethical considerations related to AI.
The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
