Role available: Landscaping and Sport Groundsperson, located in Bath, Somerset.

Job description:

As part of Greensward you will be involved in our school, council, and sport clubs. Most sites involve sport pitches that would require some skills, knowledge, and experience in this field. Some of the duties you will need to carry out would be:

• General grounds and sport grounds maintenance (post game renovations and game preparations)
• General landscaping duties (mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, hard landscaping such as fencing, etc)
• Machine operations (pedestrian and handheld machinery, ride on mowers, tractor operations, ATV, etc)
• Managing your workload on the daily basis and reporting to your line manager
• Reporting any issues or further work needed on site.

- Other tasks may be allocated to ensure the sustainability of the company.

Your role would require independence and versatility. The nature of the role will involved being on your own most of your time, and thinking on your feet is a must.

Requirements:- A passion for landscaping ang ground maintenance.- Knowledge and experience working in general landscaping at a high standard is essential (5 years of practical experience).- Knowledge and experience working on various sport ground is preferred (in Football, Cricket, Croquet, Tennis, Bowling green, etc).- Spraying qualification PA1 and PA6 is essential and PA2 is preferred.- Qualifications and/or experience on ride on mowers, pedestrian mowers, tractor, digger, telehandler, etc. is preferred.- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.- Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks in various weather conditions.- Attention to detail and good decision making.- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members.

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per year based on experience.

Working hours: Monday to Friday.
