With over 40+ stores in the UK, our mission is to be the spirited cheerleaders of sports and healthier living in the nation!As our Junior Communications & Partnership Assistant, you will be providing essential support to the Communications team by taking and sharing notes, handling easier conversations, drafting copy, and managing smaller partnerships. This role involves assisting with internal reporting, social media community management, and supporting various communications tasks across the business.Your responsibilities:Note Taking & Reporting:
  • Capture key takeaways and action items from meetings through detailed notes.
  • Facilitate collaboration by sharing notes and assigning action items to relevant team members and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to data-driven decision making by assisting with the preparation of internal reports based on meeting notes and other relevant data.
Communication & Copywriting:
  • Craft engaging content for social media posts, newsletters, and other communication materials, promoting Decathlon's brand voice and messaging.
  • Be an initial point of contact for agencies, journalists, and partners, handling initial inquiries and questions in a professional and informative manner.
Partnership & Activation Management:
  • Support the development and execution of smaller-scale partnerships, aligning with Decathlon's marketing goals and brand strategy.
  • Coordinate logistics for partnership events, activations, and campaigns, ensuring seamless execution and brand representation.
  • Maintain and organize PR & Partnership hubs and press rooms, ensuring vital information and resources are readily available.
Social Media Community Management:
  • Become an active voice for Decathlon by assisting with daily monitoring or social media channels
  • Collaborate on developing and scheduling social media content that resonates with the target audience and strengthens Decathlon's online presence.
  • Foster a vibrant online community by engaging with followers, building brand loyalty, and promoting Decathlon's products and services.
Internal Communications:
  • Bridge the communication gap by supporting internal communications within the marketing team and across Decathlon UK.
  • Contribute to a positive and informed work environment by assisting with the coordination of internal events and communication initiatives.
Ad Hoc Communications Tasks:
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Become a versatile communicator by supporting various ad hoc communication needs across the business.
  • Foster collaboration by working effectively with different departments to fulfil goals.
  • Provide administrative support to the Communications team, including tasks such as media and influencer product ordering.
Specific requirements/Work environment: This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least three days a week in one of our Offices in London (Surrey Quays) or Manchester (Stockport).Who are you

  • Relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in PR, Communications, or related field.
