OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Baby Room Practitioner to join our team. This role is essential for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to infants and toddlers in our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for childcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a safe and stimulating environment for young children.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and compassionate care to babies, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that promote early learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, needs, and any concerns.
  • Work with other practitioners to maintain a stimulating and caring nursery environment.
  • Manage daily routines, including feeding, changing, and nap times, while ensuring hygiene standards are met.
  • Observe and assess children’s development, documenting milestones and achievements accurately.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth through play and interaction.

Experience

  • Previous experience in childcare or working with children is essential, preferably within a nursery setting.
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education level 2 or 3 is required.
  • Strong leadership qualities to guide less experienced staff members when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine drive to support children’s learning journeys while managing the dynamics of a busy nursery environment.
