Job Details:

Main Duties:

  • Regularly tending to plants, including watering, feeding, and dusting.
  • Removing dead or unhealthy plant material to ensure a tidy and vibrant display.
  • Replacing and replanting as needed to suit the specific environmental conditions.
  • Pruning plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Monitoring for pests and diseases, applying treatments as needed.
  • Applying fertilisers at appropriate intervals and quantities.
  • Keeping the area clean and free of debris.
  • Completing and submitting maintenance reports in a timely manner.
  • Installing wall-mounted and hanging plant displays with precision.
  • Leading and coordinating deliveries, installations, and collections across various locations, in London.
  • Performing pre-delivery inspections and preparing displays both on and off site.
  • Installing decorative plant panels, art, and other foliage elements.
  • Assisting with event setups, exhibition builds, and related installations.
  • Maintaining communication with key clients to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Training new staff members in plant care and installation techniques.

Key Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised and methodical in your approach to work.
  • Confident and capable of interacting with clients at all levels.
  • Adaptable and flexible to meet changing priorities and schedules.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, able to think on your feet.
  • A keen eye for interior design and an aesthetic appreciation for plant displays.
  • In-depth knowledge of plant care, including watering, fertilising, and pruning.
  • Experience with pest and disease management in plants.
  • Proficient in replanting and ensuring plants thrive in various environments.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and an effective team player.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in managing teams and leading projects.
  • Previous work on similar plant design and maintenance projects (indoor and outdoor)
  • Skills in installing irrigation systems for indoor plants.
  • Experience with installing and maintaining hanging gardens.

Work Conditions:

  • Job Types: Part Time, Freelance/Contractor
  • Flexible working hours
  • Expected hours: 16-24 per week
  • Working schedule to be pre-discussed and pre-approved with the manager, with flexibility to accommodate personal preferences. Ideally, maintain consistent days for the same clients.
  • Pay: £15 per hour
